Information for Families

Information from the Maine Information and Analysis Center (MIAC) has informed Maine Schools about a harmful national social media trend regarding threatening school violence today.  These posts did not originate in Maine.  Our SRO and local law enforcement are aware of the situation.

We have had no threats today.

Again, the MIAC is not aware of any credible threats pertaining to any schools in Maine.  The MIAC  is currently monitoring the situation and any related events.  Anyone with information related to these threats or similar incidents is asked to contact the Maine Information and Analysis Center at 207-624-7280 or MIAC.MSP@maine.gov.
