The primary purpose of Dexter Regional High School is to prepare students to be integrated and informed thinkers as well as responsible and involved citizens.
The administration, faculty, and staff in partnership with the community support self-directed and lifelong learning, clear and effective communications, creative and practical problem solving, and collaborative and quality work.
Dear Parents, Families and Friends,
As I begin my 30th school year in Education, I am energized and deeply committed to making a positive difference in the lives of your children. We will accomplish this by setting high academic expectations for all children and providing a safe & supportive environment to assure they are met. By addressing school culture, setting high standards for teacher performance, increasing academic expectations for all students and engaging the community, it is our goal at Dexter Regional High School that all graduates are college or career ready.
I am pleased to share some of the exciting and outstanding programs at Dexter Regional High School. DRHS offers a variety of academic offerings including Honors, Dual Enrollment and Advanced Placement courses. In addition, the school offers on-line classes (Plato), credit recovery opportunities and a Summer School program. Students may also attend the Tri-County Technical Center (TCTC) during their 11th & 12th grade years.
Dexter Regional High School is continuing the transition (started in the 2014-15 school year) from traditional teaching, grading and reporting practices to proficiency based teaching, grading and reporting practices. With that in mind, we will embrace the challenges of the future while we continue to respect and celebrate the traditions of the past. Our remarkable staff, involved parents and committed students come together to make Dexter Regional High School a wonderful and unique place.
